India on Friday recorded 3,611 Covid cases in a day as the active cases dipped to 33,232 from 36,244 a day earlier, according to Union Health Ministry data. On Thursday, India witnessed a slight jump in the daily covid cases tally with 3,962 fresh infections.
The death toll has increased to 5,31,642 with 36 deaths, which includes nine reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am stated. While the Covid case tally was recorded at 4.49 crore (4,49,64,289).
The active cases now comprise 0.07 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.74 per cent, the ministry said.
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease stands at 4,43,99,415 while the case fatality rate is 1.18 per cent.
So far, 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered to people across the country nder the nationwide vaccination drive, according to the ministry’s website.
Covid Cases In Delhi
Meanwhile, national capital Delhi on Tursday recorded 199 fresh coronavirus cases with a positivity rate of 7.07 per cent. Three deaths were also recorded, according to data shared by the city government’s health department.
With this, Delhi’s case tally climbed to 20,39,741 and the death toll rose to 26,637, a health department bulletin said.
