Maharashtra Sees Drop In Daily Infections, Delhi’s Positivity Rate At 25.69%

New Delhi: India on Sunday recorded a single-day rise of 10,112 new Coronavirus diseases, while the number of active cases increased to 67,806, according to Union health ministry data. India’s COVID-19 count now stands at 4.48 crore (4,48,91,989) with the new cases. According to data updated at 8 a.m., the death toll increased to 5,31,329, with 29 deaths, seven of which were reconciled by Kerala.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 7.03 percent and the weekly positivity rate was at 5.43 percent.

With 67,806 active cases, the infection rate now stands at 0.15%. The recovery rate was recorded at 98.66 percent, as indicated by the health ministry website.

The number of individuals who have recovered from the infection flooded to 4,42,92,854, while the case casualty rate was recorded at 1.18 percent.

The nationwide vaccination campaign has so far given 220.66 crore doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the ministry’s website.

Delhi Logs 948 New Covid Cases, Two Deaths

According to information provided by the Health Department, there were 948 new COVID-19 infections and two fatalities in Delhi on Sunday, with a 25.69 percent case positivity rate.

With the new fatalities, the loss of life from the pandemic rose to 26,597 in the national capital. The total number of cases is 20,33,372.

According to the Health Department, covid was the primary cause of death in one of the fatalities.

Of the 7,973 Coronavirus beds in the city, 370 are involved, the information showed.

Delhi on Saturday logged 1,515 new Coronavirus diseases and six fatalities with a case positivity rate of 26.46.

The department didn’t give notice on Friday.

On Thursday, the city saw 1,603 new caseload additions and three fatalities, with a positivity rate of 26.75.

On Wednesday, it reported six deaths alongside 1,757 new cases with a positivity rate of 28.63.

Maharashtra Reports 545 New Covid-19 Cases, Two Deaths

According to a bulletin from the state health department, there were 545 new cases of Covid-19 and two deaths attributed to the virus in Maharashtra on Sunday.

According to the bulletin, the total number of infections rose to 81,61,894.

Maharashtra presently has a case casualty rate in the state of 1.81 percent, the release said.

According to the bulletin, the state health department currently has 6,055 active cases.

Today, 655 Covid-19 patients were discharged, until April 23, 80,07,335 patients had fully recovered.

According to the bulletin, the state’s recovery rate is 98.11 percent.

Mumbai Reports 141 Covid-19 Cases, One Death

Mumbai reported 141 new cases of Covid-19 and one infection-related death on Sunday. The addition of the new cases took the complete count of diseases in the city to 11,61,887, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said in a health bulletin.

The number of daily coronavirus cases in the city has recently increased abruptly. There was a significant drop in the number of daily cases of Covid-19 in Mumbai on Sunday.

The city’s death toll stood at 19,761 as of April 23, according to the health bulletin.

The total number of recoveries reached 11,40,790, according to the bulletin, which stated that the recovery count increased by 181 more patients.

The city currently has a functioning caseload of 1,336 patients, it further said.

Haryana Saw More Recoveries From Covid-19

On Sunday, there were more recoveries from Covid 19 than new cases. It reported 598 new cases and 863 recoveries on Sunday. There were no deaths reported. State-wide active cases have decreased to 5,382. No casualty was accounted for the third sequential day. As indicated by the health bulletin, no new case was accounted for from six areas ie Mahendergarh, Palwal, Kaithal, Nuh, Charkhi Dadri and Bhiwani. While Panchkula, Hisar, Karnal, Gurugram, and Faridabad each reported more than 20 cases, Gurugram and Faridabad topped the list with 316 and 63 cases, respectively.
